Both the Plantation house at the ranch and the surrounding areas have seen supernatural activity. Civil War soldiers have reportedly been seen walking or camping out nearby and the house itself has also had its fair share of unexplained phenomena, attributed to the plantation's founders. In 2011, Ghost Adventures featured the ranch on their show.

I have lived very close to this ranch my whole life. My aunt and cousin was actually home nurses for Loretta’s husband before he passed. When I was young friends and I would drive down to the mill and in front of the house at night. When the windows of the mill it always looked like someone was looking out. Many other people have told me they had the same experience even my fiancé which I didn’t know at the time.
