Hales Bar Marina and Dam was constructed in 1905 to subdue the whirlpools along the Tennessee River. Legend says that the dam was cursed back in the day by the Native Americans. Rumor has it that if you get too close, you will get sucked in! Witnesses say that they have seen creepy black figures and heard chanting. Others have said that they've seen apparitions of drowning Native Americans. The infamous dam has been featured on TV's Ghost Adventures.
